Justin Wills

Justin Wills, Executive Chef for Good Measure Meals™ (GMM), is a magna cum laude graduate of the School of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Wills has received numerous awards including an American Culinary Foundation (ACF) Knife Skills Competition gold medal, Atlanta ACF Hot Food Team silver medal, and the Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl National Title. Wills served as Chef de Partie at the Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, and he also studied as Chef de Partie under southern cuisine specialist Scott Peacock at Watershed Restaurant in Decatur, GA.

As the Executive Chef at GMM, Wills' culinary artistry leads the gratifying dining experience our customers crave! He loves working and volunteering for Open Hand/GMM because of the positive energy that comes from his like-minded co-workers who daily strive to ensure the success of the Open Hand mission.

Julie Shipkoski, MS, RDN, LD, Director of Food Services

Julie Shipkoski, MS, RDN, LD leads a culture of culinary excellence as Director of Food Services for Good Measure Meals and Open Hand Atlanta. With extensive, high volume food service operations management and product experience, Julie supervises, sustains and seeks to improve all aspects of quality and efficient food production including: new product innovation, menu development, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, food safety, sanitation, production, packaging, labeling, and distribution of fresh and frozen meals.

Julie is uniquely qualified as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with proven ability to translate nutrition science and evidence based research into healthful food choices. Her dietetic credentials and knowledge combined with her strong business acumen allow her to balance business needs with culinary expectations to achieve customer satisfaction in an increasingly health conscious market. Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with summa cum laude distinction from Georgia State University (GSU), where she also completed the Combined Dietetic Internship and Master of Science Program. GSU also awarded her the Sara M. Hunt Clinical Excellence Award for displaying outstanding performance in the clinical setting. Julie is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Food and Culinary Professionals and Healthy Aging Professionals Dietetic Practice Groups. She is certified in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management, and a certified HACCP Manager and ServSafe Food Protection Manager.

Catherine Ouellette MS, RDN, LD, Assistant Food Services Manager

Catherine Ouellette is the Assistant Food Services Manager here at GMM. She works closely with Director of Food Services, Julie Shipkoski, and Quality Assurance and Development Chef, Justin Wills, to develop meals that combine depth of flavor, textural contrast, and visual appeal while maintaining nutritional balance and incorporating evidence-based nutritional research. Together, the team creates affordable, convenient, and nutritious meals that enable individuals to lead healthier lives.

Catherine received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Georgia and her Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She has been a first author on 2 published articles and a co-author on 7 published articles in journals including Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, and European Journal of Nutrition. Her post-graduate work included research in consumption and bioavailability of antioxidants in various population groups. She completed her dietetic internship at Emory University Hospitals and is a Registered Dietitian. Her previous work before joining the team at Open Hand included Director of Nutrition Services at a nursing & rehab facility in the metro-Atlanta area for two and a half years. She is very grateful for the opportunity Open Hand has provided her to continue to follow her passion for nutrition and healthy eating at a more flexible work schedule to help accommodate her growing family. She is currently a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater Atlanta Dietetic Association, and Healthy Aging Professionals Dietetic Practice Groups.
