Medically Tailored Meals
The Power of Food as Medicine
What is a medically tailored meal?
Medically tailored meals are delivered to individuals - typically through a referral from a medical professional or health plan - living with or at risk for chronic disease, such as diabetes, heart failure, cancer, HIV/AIDS, etc. Meals are specifically designed for their diagnosis, as well as the additional complications that come with that illness.
At Open Hand, our medically tailored meals are so high-quality and delicious, we knew the impact on the community would be greatest if we opened up access across the socioeconomic spectrum: thus, Good Measure MealsTM was born. Our medically tailored meals are prepared, cooked, and delivered in an effort to improve health outcomes for all, because we believe food is medicine.
